Nomination Awards

Pillar Awards: Those that have excelled in one or more of Pi Alpha Chi Pillars. (Descriptions are below)

Spirit of Pi Chi Award:  In each membership class who best lives all of Pi Chi’s values and beliefs. These women are who you think embodies all that Pi Chi stands for and is there for her sisters. (Nominate below Pillar Awards)

PAX in Christo ‘Peace in Christ’ Award: Aside from our four pillars, the center of our sorority is based in the Catholic faith. This award is for a sister that you believe is strong in her faith and shares it with others. They find a peace in Christ through their relationship with God and others. (Nominate below Pillar Awards)

Achievement Awards

Excelling in Academics Award: This award is not based on nomination. The Academics Chair will be contacted for information on this award. People eligible to receive this award have a 4.0 GPA.

Outstanding Standards Award: This award is not determined based on nomination. The VP of Standards will be contacted for information on who has the best standing in the sorority for the school year. (No in fractions / No absences)

Pillar Awards

    Leadership

    The women of Pi Alpha Chi practice leadership in the sorority, on campus, and in the community. Our sisters serve the chapter through positions on the Executive Board and Rose Council, the community through various philanthropic events and volunteering, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus through involvement in other organizations.” This award is designated for any active or new member that you believe truly embodies the pillar of leadership. Leadership is defined as a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal. This award is not exclusively for the women serving on our executive board, rose council, or lily panel but for any member you believe has been a great leader this past school year. Please make one nomination below and write 3-8 sentences on why you believe that your nomination should receive the award.

    Citizenship

    We strive to form women that are socially responsible, engaged in their communities, and good stewards of their time, treasures and talents.  We recognize that we do not exist to be good just for ourselves; instead, we exist to be the cause of goodness in others. This award is designated for any active or new member that you believe lives out the pillar of citizenship. Please make one nomination below and write 3-8 sentences on why you believe that your nomination should receive the award.

    Fellowship

    We believe that the fellowship we share as sisters is an essential part of our undergraduate education.  In living, learning, and laboring together, we are challenged to grow, to hold each other accountable, and to support one another in the face of adversity. This award is designated for any active or new member that you believe lives out the fellowship pillar within our sorority. Please make one nomination below and write 3-8 sentences on why you believe that your nomination should receive the award.

    Scholarship

    We are aware that an undergraduate education is one of the most important investments that a young woman can make in her future.  We are committed to helping our sisters attain the highest levels of academic achievement. This award is for an individual that you believe excelled in their academics this past school year. This person is dedicated to their own academics but also is willing to share their knowledge and talents with others. Please make one nomination below and write 3-8 sentences on why you believe that your nomination should receive the award.

    Spirit of Pi Chi Award

    Nominate a sister in each membership class who best lives all of Pi Chi’s values and beliefs. These women are who you think embodies all that Pi Chi stands for and is there for her sisters.
    You may nominate a sister from each membership class including your own or choose to only nominate in specific classes.
