Pi Alpha Chi strives to give collegiate women a rounded experience while attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. To do this, our events stem from the pillars of our sorority: Leadership, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Fellowship. With these pillars as guides, Pi Alpha Chi aims to build our sisters into strong leaders, wise scholars, generous citizens, and kind neighbors in their communities.
leadership
We are intentional about cultivating leadership skills in each of our members so that we can realize both our organizational and personal goals. The women of Pi Alpha Chi practice leadership in the sorority, on campus, and in the community. Our sisters serve the chapter through positions on the Executive Board, Rose Council, and Lily Panel; the community through various philanthropic events and volunteering; and on campus through involvement in other organizations.
scholarship
We know that an undergraduate education is one of the most important investments that a young woman can make in her future. We are committed to helping our sisters attain the highest levels of academic achievement. Each sister must maintain a 2.8 semester GPA, while members serving in leadership positions need to maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Sisters also participate in study hours and form study groups so that each sister can achieve her academic goals. Our Academic Chairs oversee the academic progress of each sister and provide resources and opportunities for the chapter to grow in academic success. As of 2024, we are ranked third in GPA out of all Greek Chapters (51) on campus!

citizenship |
We strive to form women that are socially responsible, engaged in their communities, and good stewards of their time, treasures and talents. We recognize that we do not exist to be good just for ourselves; instead, we exist to be the cause of goodness in others. Pi Alpha Chi encourages sisters to be involved in their communities and be an active change in the world while also dedicating time to the Chapter's two philanthropies: St. Gianna's Women's Home and Project Rachel.
St Gianna's Women's Home assists women and their families fleeing domestic violence or who are being coerced into having an abortion. Each family is provided a safe and secure environment to deal with the trauma caused by the abuse, become self-sufficient, and learn to develop healthy relationships in the future.
|
Project Rachel is an outreach of the Catholic Church to anyone hurting psychologically or spiritually after involvement with abortion. Project Rachel counselors and clergy are specially trained to understand and help heal the psychological and spiritual pain of abortion.

fellowshipWe believe that the fellowship we share as sisters is an essential part of our undergraduate education. In living, learning, and laboring together, we are challenged to grow, to hold each other accountable, and to support one another in the face of adversity. Our Sisterhood Chair plans monthly events for sisters to have fun together and build stronger bonds. Our Social and Campus Activities Chair plans events with other Greek houses on campus to further relationships with other people in the Greek community.
