A Letter from our Vice President of Recruitment!Hello! My name is Magdalene Peklo, and I am the Vice President of Recruitment for Pi Alpha Chi. I am from Omaha, Nebraska and a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering. The women of Pi Alpha Chi are so thrilled to welcome you to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Greek community! You are looking at the best four years of your life with so many amazing opportunities that UNL has to offer you. As an incoming Freshman, I was not sure if Greek life was for me, but as a Sophomore I decided I wanted to be apart of Greek life. I went through primary recruitment, and after the first 3 days, I had realized that none of the chapters I had conversations with were the right fit for me. I had heard about Pi Alpha Chi, and decided to attend one of their informal recruitment events the week following primary recruitment. I instantly felt at home with the the women in Pi Alpha Chi and knew it was the right fit for me. Ever since, I’ve found myself amongst the most courageous, dignified, charitable, and honest women I have ever met. The women of Pi Alpha Chi not only inspire me everyday, but also push me to grow in my faith, friendships and leadership skills. Pi Alpha Chi is truly a sisterhood with open arms willing to help and support each other at all costs, and I can't imagine my college experience without it. As you undertake the search for your home at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I urge you to keep an open mind and heart during your recruitment process. Look for women that empower you and inspire you to reach your goals. Seek women who have similar values as you do, who will support you to become who you envision yourself to be, and with whom you will build lifelong friendships. The women of the Alpha Chapter of Pi Alpha Chi are excited for you to find a community that has all of this. We can't wait to see you all in the fall! PAX and Love, Magdalene PekloVice President of Recruitment
