Welcome to the official website of Pi Alpha Chi at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln!
a letter from our president
When I came onto campus, I wanted to find a place to belong, ways to grow in my faith and friends that truly want the best for me.
While at a Newman Center event, someone handed me a Pi Alpha Chi business card. I had no idea what this organization was or what Greek life even meant. I didn’t realize that there could be a place that is meant to foster genuine female friendship while offering the opportunity to grow in one’s faith. I didn’t know that there could be such a large group of women that root for you during every new job, major change, and big test. I didn’t know I could find a place to grow alongside women who had the same goals as me - but I took a chance.
I attended my first Pi Chi event and started to learn the names of the women. I learned the pillars, history, motto and standards of the sorority. I saw that each woman was vastly different but always worked together. I started to realize it could truly be my home.
In Pi Alpha Chi, we all walk different paths but come together for the same goals. We work together as a community of women looking out for each other and striving to be our best selves.
If you’re like me and thought Greek life wasn’t for you or if you’ve been searching for your perfect home, I can say Pi Alpha Chi is truly something unique. It is a group of passionate women who work together in scholarship, fellowship, leadership, and citizenship. It is a group of women that pray together and it is a group of women who are always looking to welcome a new sister.
With PAX and love,
